L2 Digital got the call late in the afternoon that Shakira was in town and needed to do an interview promoting her upcoming concert DVD.

L2 Digital put a crew together and raced to the London in West Hollywood to set up and had the cameras rolling just in time.

L2 Digital followed Landau into famed Capitol Studios, the hallowed ground where the likes of Sinatra, Deano and Nat King Cole recorded some of their finest works, where he would attempt to do the same. L2 Digital spent two days with Landau and produced, directed and edited an EPK, music videos and television spots in support of the upcoming release of That’s Life.

The heat began by heading into the famed Jim Henson studios to film multi-platinum rock band Incubus record performance videos of their latest singles from their new album, “If Not Now, When?” Back in Burbank, L2′s team of little monkeys edited the videos for Incubus’ Vevo page. To date the videos have garnered over 500,000 views. This, however, would not be the last L2 would hear from Incubus over the summer.

In June, L2 Digital completed post production (from footage we shot in March and April) on an EPK and performance video for Grammy, EMMY and Tony Award winning triple threat Kristin Chenoweth in support of her new country album, ‘Some Lessons Learned.’ Kristin’s video for Lessons Learned has gained over 300,000 YouTube views since its release.

Then it was back to Incubus again to film interviews for MTV2 at IncubusHQ in LA. June also brought L2 Digital behind the scenes for Incubus’ ‘Promises, Promises’ music video “Making Of.”

As the temps rose in July, so too did L2 Digital. Renowned trumpeter, Rick Braun, came to L2 Digital to create music videos for his most ambitious album yet, “Rick Braun Sings with Strings.” L2 Digital directed, produced and edited highly stylized music videos for such classics as ‘The Good Life,’ ‘Say It,’ and ‘Plus Je T’embrasse.” In addition, L2 Digital edited a 25 minute “Making of the Album” documentary.

July also brings Comic-Con and hundreds of thousands of people to San Diego for what can only be described as Mardi Gras for Geeks. Pop2Life created 2 huge interactive fan set ups for NBC and South Park that engaged thousands of eager Comic-Conners. Pop2Life brought L2 Digital down to San Diego to document the excitement.

The heat really turned up in August. L2 filmed an interview with Ben Folds discussing his upcoming retrospective album. Our cameras were also on hand to film Wilson Phillips’ album cover photoshoot for their upcoming release. And finally, Pop2Life and AMCTV brought us to the Santa Monica Civic Center Auditorium to film the Breaking Bad Music Lab where 200 lucky winners were flown out to Los Angeles to meet Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris and then stand front row for a private concert by Incubus.

With summer winding down and fall just around the corner, we are excited about what lies just beyond that corner!
